Na mednarodni fotografski razstavi z naslovom Mejnosti/Borderlines, ki je na ogled v Galeriji GONG in EPICentru, sodeluje štirinajst izbranih avtorjev in avtoric iz Slovenije, Italije in Avstrije: Uroš Acman (SI), Goran Bertok (SI), Vincent Forstenlechner (AT), Christoph Grill (AT), Markus Guschelbauer (AT), Valentina Iaccarino & Pietro Peressutti (IT), Giulia Iacolutti (IT), Roberto Kusterle (IT), Branko Lenart (AT), Marko Lipuš (AT), Eva Petrič (SI), Gregor Radonjič (SI) in Filippo Venturi (IT).
V času, ko so migracije, pandemije, vojne in politični konflikti zarisali nove pregrade v širšem evropskem prostoru, razstava odpira prostor za refleksijo, empatijo in kritično razumevanje sveta okoli nas.
Razstava je del uradnega programa GO! 2025.
The international photography exhibition entitled Mejnosti/Borderlines, which is on view at GONG Gallery and EPICenter, features fourteen selected authors from Slovenia, Italy, and Austria: Uroš Acman (SI), Goran Bertok (SI), Vincent Forstenlechner (AT), Christoph Grill (AT), Markus Guschelbauer (AT), Valentina Iaccarino & Pietro Peressutti (IT), Giulia Iacolutti (IT), Roberto Kusterle (IT), Branko Lenart (AT), Marko Lipuš (AT), Eva Petrič (SI), Gregor Radonjič (SI), and Filippo Venturi (IT). The curators of the exhibition—born from a collaboration between the GONG Gallery in Nova Gorica and Photon Gallery in Ljubljana—are Nataša Kovšca and Dejan Sluga.
The theme of the group photography exhibition Mejnosti/Borderlines takes the Goriška region as its starting point, where the border appears as a multi-faceted phenomenon. This is why the project explores the border not only as a physical dividing line that has left an indelible mark on life in the border area, especially in the post-war period, but also as a social and cultural construct that continues to shape our reality and perception of the other, the different, the unknown.
Curators Nataša Kovšca and Dejan Sluga present contemporary photographic projects by fourteen artists from Slovenia, Italy and Austria, who use documentary, metaphorical, conceptual and performative photographic approaches to address different notions of borderlines: from landscape traces, historical ties and symbolic borders that are permanently inscribed in the lives of communities and individuals, to social, psychological and metaphorical demarcations. At a time when migration, pandemics, wars and political conflicts have drawn new barriers across Europe, the exhibition opens up a space for reflection, empathy and a critical understanding of the world around us.
The exhibition is part of GO! 2025 official programme.
